In one of the most cruelest ways to lose a championship, Jake Drew thought he had the title in the bag at Phoenix Raceway. However, both Trevor Huddleston (Drew’s teammate) and Jesse Love changed those plans as their last lap battle decided the title. Love was able to tie Drew in points, but since the latter didn’t win in 2021 compared to Love’s two West wins, that’s all it took to crown Love his second straight title.
