2020 NASCAR Post-Race Video Conference Questions
Harrison Burton scored his second career NASCAR Xfinity Series win at Homestead on June 13, 2020. He commented about the doubters he’s had since joining the series, so I asked the backstory behind his message. Also, the expectations heading into the next race which took place the following day.
Despite being eligible for the 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race (now being held at Bristol Motor Speedway instead of Charlotte), Justin Haley confirmed that he has no intentions of racing any Cup events in the foreseeable future on June 11, 2020.

As COVID-19 has put a massive hold on all sorts of sports, including motorsports, there’s still both optimism and concerns once it’s safe to start racing. The best way for drivers to fill the void is competing on iRacing, such as the INDYCAR iRacing Challenge. Heading into the penultimate round of the six-race odyssey, I asked both Ed Carpenter and Lando Norris questions during a video teleconference on April 24, 2020.
My question for Carpenter was about having rookie Dutch driver Rinus VeeKay on his team. As for Norris, it focuses on how should the 70th F1 season go about their season due to the crisis.

Tremendous family ties in the 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season as not only Todd Gilliland is running for a team his father David once drove, but also bearing the No. 38 that’s been carried on for three generations. I spoke with both about it during Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway. Yes, I did Todd about his infamous radio comments following his first Truck Series win at Martinsville the previous season.
2019 NASCAR at Phoenix Interviews
The penultimate race weekend of the NASCAR calendar took place at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. One focused on Brett Moffitt’s primary sponsor (Plan B Sales) helping out Griffin Spier come to the track and witness late brother’s name on Moffitt’s truck in person. The other being Brittney Zamora as she looked back at her rookie campaign in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, but also spoke about being a driver from the state of Washington.
