EVERETT, Wash. — The Everett Trojans men’s and women’s basketball teams faced the Edmonds Tritons as part of a doubleheader Saturday where both schools split the series with a victory apiece.
During the men’s game, it was the Tritons who ended up victorious 73-68 to improve its record to 13-8 overall and 4-2 in the Northwest Athletic Conference.
On the other side of the coin, the Trojans drop to 9-12 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
Things turned around for Everett on the women’s side as they were able to seal the 58-56 overtime victory over Edmonds. Saturday’s triumph marked the Trojans’ first conference win of the season after losing its previous five outings this season and are now 5-15 overall.
Meanwhile, Edmonds drop to 6-12 overall and 2-4 in NWAC conference play.
Both Trojans basketball squads will host its next home game in Everett Wednesday, February 4 when they face Whatcom. The men’s game will begin at 5 p.m. while the women’s is scheduled to commence at 7 p.m.
